Women in Local Governance: Finding answers together

Women´s political role in Cambodia is hampered by gender based discrimination, but woman have much to say about local political issues. HBF, KAFDOCVigilanceand Highlanders Association have been supporting indigenous Lao and Khmer women from Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri, Kratie and Stung Teng provinces to meet and discuss issues affecting their participation in local politics.

Though a series of interviews filmed at a workshop in Kratie province in December 2008, this video explores the political problems faced by women in Cambodia, indigenous or Khmer, their visions about change and strategies that can allow them to gain a better share in governance.
