Kasumi Nakagawa – Faculty Member at the Pannasastra University

Ms. Kasumi Nakagawa has been a faculty member at the Pannasastra University of Cambodia since 2002, in charge of gender studies at the foundation course and is a key figure in the development of the Cambodian National Action Plan to prevent Violence against Women (NAPVAW). Ms. Nakagawa has worked in Cambodia for a number of years as a consultant for the Ministry of Women’s Affairs of Cambodia in the field of gender-based violence and has helped the Cambodian government draft the report on the implementation of the Beijing Declaration 1995. She has done research on gender based violence during the Cambodian conflict, which includes untold stories of violence perpetrated against women, men and LGBT.
