The project facilitates intergenerational dialogues between young people and Khmer Rouge survivors, and documents survivor experiences for educational purposes. KdK's successful record of accomplishment demonstrates its effectiveness in promoting Cambodian history education, particularly regarding SGBV under the Khmer Rouge.  Their work empowers local communities to actively deal with gender-based violence, fostering empathy, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the past among young people, while also promoting reconciliation and community connection.
