Female Dance Theatre Published: 9 August 2018 On 22nd and 24th July 2018 hbs Cambodia invited the all-female dance company New Cambodian Artists for performances at the National Museum. The amazing dance pieces dealt with topics such as domestic violence, growing up, sadness and happiness, and the American bombing of Cambodian territory during the Indochina war. The Role of ASEAN in Combating Climate Change in Cambodia Published: 13 July 2018 Once again, the Heinrich Boell Stiftung Cambodia organized a 3 day seminar on “History, Conflict, Peace and Climate Change: Past and Present Challenges for Cambodia and ASEAN” last July 9-11, 2017 which took place at the Meta House, Phnom Penh. This seminar was also held last 2016 where Dr. Bernd Schaefer, a global fellow and former senior scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center Cold War International History Project lead the lecture and discussion.
Visit of German Ambassador, Dr. Ingo Karsten, to Heinrich Böll Foundation Published: 12 July 2018 On 12th July 2018 the German Ambassador, Dr. Ingo Karsten, visited the Heinrich Böll Foundation hbs. Our head of office, Ali Al-Nasani, shared information about the current program of hbs. The discussion focussed on topics such as women's rights, minorities in Cambodia and on environmental protection. It was a fruitful exchange of views that will be continued in the future.
